Glasgow-based synth-pop pioneers will unveil their third studio LP 'Love Is Dead' and upcoming European and the U.S. shows will be promoting acts to support it.
Melancholically positive CHVRCHES will soon present their long-awaited follow-up to 2015's Every Open Eye. The new effort 'Love Is Dead' will arrive on May 25.
To work on a new long play, CHVRCHES attracted the famous producers Greg Kurstin (he collaborated with Adele and Sia) and Steve Mack (who wrote hits for Demi Lovato and Shakira) - and their influence is felt in a few already unveiled singles. Especially worth noting the track titled ‘My Enemy’ featuring Matt Berninger. Hear it below.
They'll begin 'Love Is Dead' Tour with a bunch performances in Europe during June and July. Moreover, Chvrches will appear at Governors’ Ball Music Festival in New York on June 3. North American Tour dates will launch in Chicago, IL at Lollapalooza on August 2 and conclude in Boston, MA at Orpheum Theatre on October 20. Other Canadian and U.S. appearances on the run of tour dates will include such cities, as St. Charles, San Francisco, San Diego, Vancouver, Seattle, Milwaukee, Asheville, New Orleans, Washington, and more.
The Chvrches’ genre is characterized as a synth-pop - the direction of electronic music, which replaced post-punk. The dominant role in this genre is commonly given to keyboards. The pearl of the band is vocalist Lauren Mayberry, and even the musicians themselves admit that Lauren is their main weapon.
