Josh Tillman will embark on a North American tour with strong support bill of TV on the Radio, Jenny Lewis, Gillian Welch, Bully, King Tuff, and more.
Fleet Foxes former drummer Jay Tillman has been involving in a solo career with various success for several years and performs under the name of Father John Misty. This year, his fourth studio indie-rock long-play, God's Favorite Customer, set to arrive on June 1.
At the moment, some tracks that will enter highly-anticipated record were previously unveiled, among them such songs as, "'Mr. Tillman'", "Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All" and "Just Dumb Enough to Try". Those brand-new singles were hand-written by producer Dave Cerminara, who is notable for works with Imagine Dragons and The Neighborhood, and also taking part in the recording of the previous Father John Misty album - "Pure Comedy" in 2017.
In related news, the album will consist of ten tracks that Josh Tillman composed and produced personally.
The four-month-long trek which sandwiches between European tour dates kicks off June 15 at Mountain Jam in Hunter, NY and includes stops in Minneapolis, Hollywood, Louisville, Seattle, New York, Washington, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Birmingham, New Orleans, and more. The run of the tour wraps up on October 12-14 during Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, TX.
