Australian psychedelic and acid rock band have announced plans to take their sophomore effort across North America with a 19-cities schedule Tour.
Although the founded in 2010 band are quite young, all their members led by frontman Stu Mackenzie, make the impression of experienced old school musicians. Moreover, their play has a special distinction from all other groups of the same genre. The musicians themselves say that they are very inspired by Turkish music and use some of the musical elements like the baglama instrument.
King Gizzard & The Lizard probably have endless resources of inspiration and ability to work, as the band drop an album one after another. Consequently, there are already 13 studio albums in the account of dynamic and charismatic rockers, 5 of which were released in just one year! The band had released such albums during 2017, as Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East, Polygondwanaland, and Gumboot Soup. It is worth noting that their shows are usually held in a very energetic and driving manner, although it is quite normal for their music style.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard kicks off the 2018 Spring Tour at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Calif. on May 31. The powerful musicians then play San Diego’s Observatory North Park on the June 1 and in San Francisco at The Warfield venue on 2nd.
