Glastonbury Festival

This music festival held from 1970 near the city of Glastonbury in the UK. Music at the festival is different - heavy metal, punk rock, hip-hop, rap. Thanks to Lollapalooza, the world has learned such names as The Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Machine, Green Day. There were The Cure, Depeche Mode, Muse.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

From the very beginning, the jazz festival in New Orleans was conceived as an important event that would have great cultural significance and popularity around the world. The festival was the result of the efforts of the city authorities, who wanted to organize an event worthy of reflecting the status of New Orleans as the birthplace of jazz. Over the years since 1970, the festival was visited by many famous musicians and bands such as BB King, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Abby Lincoln, Bonnie Wright, Van Morrison and many others.

Summerfest

Now Summerfest is one of the most famous musical events in the world. The festival is visited by the most famous musicians and bands of the world. Also at the festival are performances of theater comedy groups. In addition, Summerfest celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Rock Am Ring

One of the most famous German open-airs is Rock am Ring. This festival takes place at the Mendig aerodrome on the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of June. Who performed at the festival earlier: The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Sting, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Korn and many other eminent bands and musicians. Traditionally part of the line-up is occupied by German bands.

South by Southwest

South by Southwest (SXSW) is a series of festivals and conferences dedicated to music, cinema, and interactive media, which takes place every year in the middle of March in Austin (Texas, USA). The name of the festival is a reference to Alfred Hitchcock's film  ‘North by Northwest’. SXSW Music Festival is one of the largest music festivals in the world, in 2014 it was performed by more than 2 thousand artists, and the number of visitors exceeded 30 thousand. The festival lasts six days, its program includes not only concerts but also meetings with musicians, events for the music industry, parties and a host of other events.
