Indie-rock four-piece are extremely eager to showcase their latest musical material with explosive new sound during upcoming European and North American Tour in 2018.
Big Thief are recognized as one of today's most talented indie-rock bands. However, band's activities began not long ago, namely in 2015 in the city of Brooklyn, New York. Big Thief consists of members such as Andrianne Lenker on vocals and guitar, Buck Meek on guitar, James Krivchenia as percussionist and Max Oleartchik as bassist.
Big Thief's second album Capacity just came out earlier last year and it encourages certain reflection. When rock loses its grip on the stadiums, you need to look again at the small areas where a small asterisk is born every day. Big Thief - another group that flew from the fireworks of female indie bands that had broken up a couple of years ago. "Capacity" is a continuation of their previous no less charming album "Masterpiece". Gentle rock performed by Big Thief never raises a tone, but if necessary, it's ready to roughly twist the string and press it on the pedal.
In general, upcoming Big Thief tour schedule contains 19 different shows all over the country kicking things off on May 25 in Boston, Mass. at the Boston Calling Festival and wrapping up on October 25 in Atlanta, Ga. at the Terminal West venue.
On the run of tour dates will also be such cities, as Quincy, Kerrville, Los Angeles, Chicago, Vancouver, Portland, Pioneertown, Brooklyn, Washington, and more. The band also will head to Europe for a number of concerts in August.
Joining performers as supports on the tour will be Luke Temple and The Range of Light Wilderness. Moreover, some of the dates will feature few headlining Father John Misty shows, where Big Thief will appear as support acts. Full tour information and ticket purchase links can be found below.
