Art and alternative rock veterans led by Thom Yorke revealed a batch of tour dates. The outing will, of course, feature support of the band's ninth studio album 'A Moon Shaped Pool' issued on 8 May 2016. Breath-taking LP created in such genres, as art rock, chamber pop and ambient, only confirmed overall themes of whole previously released Radiohead's discography. Which means that theme of melancholia and the depth of feelings is the main line of each composition taken from 'A Moon Shaped Pool'. Recorded in the La Fabrique studio near Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, latest band's album rapidly reached crossover success: it was certified gold in the UK, nominated for the Mercury Prize and also for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Song at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
'A Moon Shaped Pool' Tour originally started in Europe, North America, and Japan from May to October 2016, thereafter was the second leg of US tour during March-April 2017 with an astonishing appearance at Coachella festival in California. Nevertheless, Radiohead’s lyric will never be enough for true fans so 2018’ U.S. and Canadian dates are just around the corner.
The final North American leg of the A Moon Shaped Pool tour, which will play multiple nights in a number of cities, begins in Chicago, IL at the United Center on July 7th, and ends with a 2-night stand at the Wells Fargo Center in the city of Philadelphia, PA during July 31 - August 1. All dates are listed below with more still to be confirmed. Tickets for the show go on sale on February 23.
