Ohio-based indie-rock and post-punk revival band are on the way to present new shows across North America, in which they are promoting a new album 'Sleep Well Beast'.
The National on each of their albums skillfully mix the Americana music genre like Bruce Springsteen and post-punk, and thanks to the restrained and sad ballads, quintet hanged by the label "very disgruntled men". However, this did not prevent them from being one of the most dynamic and commercially successful groups.
After delivering their seventh studio album under the title 'Sleep Well Beast' issued on September 8, 2017 through 4AD, the band were actively touring throughout North America. Sophomore LP already managed to receive crossover success and even has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. In total, The National will give 31 shows all over the world including 11 U.S. cities on their world tour during 2018 Spring. The National' upcoming tour opens with a grandiose sold-out show at The Forum in the city of Los Angeles, CA on January 19th, after which will follow another concert in Las Vegas on January 20.
After touring across Australia, South America, and New Zeland, the National will resume their U.S. Tour on Homecoming Festival in the city of Cincinnati, OH on April 28-29. Big Thief, Father John Misty, the Breeders will accompany the musicians as support throughout the festival. The final show will be in the city of Boston, MA at Boston Calling Music Festival May 25-27. Moreover, after returning musicians from the European tour during summer, another two-day show will be held in the city of Berkeley, CA at Greek Theatre on September 24-25.
