The Zombie band has been actively presenting for concerts in recent years and trying to keep abreast. Besides the latest tour dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the band, along with the 50th anniversary of LP 'Odessey and Oracle', new dates for tours and a new concert series are being announced.
It is important to remember that The Zombies are an iconic British rock band. Songs written by them had occupied the leading positions in the charts of Europe and the USA in the second half of the 1960s. Moreover, their album 'Odessey and Oracle' got into the list of the best albums of all times according to the version of Rolling Stone magazine.
Looking back into history, everything starts with January 1964, when the quintet won the local 'Herts Beat' competition, the award of which was a contract with the company 'Decca'. The Zombies debut single 'She's Not There' roses to the twelfth place of the British chart, but became more popular in the US, where it took second place. Blunstone's somewhat fluttering vocals and the full-scale play of Argent's keyboards have created an inexhaustible, breathtaking song structure, and the group's style worked out on this basis has been reflected on a few succeeding perfect singles. Unfortunately, further diligence and conscientiousness of the group's members did not become a source of great success.
Listen to legendary LP Odessey & Oracle album:
Concerts in 2011 were devoted to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the group. The songs were mainly performed on the new album Breathe Out, Breathe In (2011, Red House Records), which was published on May 9, 2011. The first concerts were held in May of the same year in Greece and the UK. In July the group visited Japan, in the autumn - the Netherlands, the USA and Great Britain.
The new upcoming tour of the legendary band aims to begin on January 9, 2018, at Parker Playhouse Fort Lauderdale, FL and continue on until March 24th at The Kent Stage Kent, OH. In general, musicians will allow visitors to experience the 60th atmosphere in 16 cities, including three performances in New York. So, get ready to feel the true atmosphere of cult music, which has become the forerunner of modern times.
