UR1 Festival Rescheduling Announcement

One of the most popular festivals that was to take place in Miami was abrogated due to threats of weather conditions. To this decision to postpone the UR1 Festival, its managers checked numerous weather forecasts of life-threatening windshields at that time. We remind you that the Miami's UR1 Festival was expected to take place on December 8-9, 2012 with the participation of such headliners, as Kanye West, Dead Can Dance, Lou Reed, Animal Collective, Santigold, Holy Ghost, Zola Jesus, Real Estate and many others. If you want to stay tuned for the re-scheduled tour dates for popular bands try signing up for concert alert.

By the way, such meteorological conditions may be the after-effects of Hurricane Sandy. According to UR1's organizers, the fest will put off the event and they will be working with local promoters to stage shows by artists scheduled to perform at the festival at venues around the city during Art Basel Miami Beach, to which festival tickets will act as a pass. In other cases, the funds will be refunded. In addition, the managers have written an official appeal to all fans and participants of the UR1, in which they express their frustration, as well as the welfare of all fans:

‘’In consideration of these and other factors including the safety and wellbeing of our fans and performing artists we have come to this tough decision. Understandably this has had an ancillary effect on ticket sales and business logistics. It has always been our mission to produce events of the utmost quality and safety’’.
