Today is a big day for good news. North American Tour will be a celebration of the progressive rock group’s 50th anniversary.
For a phenomenally long period of time of fifteen years, the Yes band had undergone a lot of changes, including the style of sounding and the batch of members who have often been replaced. Nevertheless, in the world of music, Yes succeeded to occupy quite an honorable place, becoming innovators of the prog rock genre. In addition, Yes had created a very characteristic, deep sound, based on complex harmony and acoustic rhythms. Their most successful albums were such works as Fragile (1971), Close to the Edge (1972) and 90125 (1983), which plenty of times became platinum.
At this moment, band’s line-up includes guitarist and vocalist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes, acoustic guitarist Jon Davison along with bass guitarist Billy Sherwood.
The 34-date trek ventures through the midwest and east coast, kicking off in the city of St. Charles, IL at Arcada Theatre on June 5 and wrapping up in Atlanta, GA at Atlanta Symphony Hall venue on July 28.Other stops on the run of dates include shows in New Buffalo, Woodinville, Los Angeles, Wendover, Interlochen, Pittsburgh, Montclair, Boston, Atlanta City, Philadelphia, Washington and more. It worth mentioning, that very first Yes-members are performing now aside from the main band under the brand Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman.
